An Afghan national was arrested in West Bengal's Nadia district for allegedly entering India from Bangladesh without valid documents. The individual was apprehended by the Border Security Force (BSF) near the Fatepur border area and handed over to local police for further investigation.
Earlier, the Taliban took control over Jawzjan province's capital Sheberghan and Nimroz province's capital Zaranj.

Two personnel of Border Roads Organisation were on Saturday killed and several others injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up near a convoy of Indian road construction workers in south west Afghanistan. Nearly 400 BRO personnel are engaged in construction of a key highway between Zaranj and Delaram in Afghanistan as part of India's assistance programme for reconstruction of the war-torn country.
A spokesman for Taliban, Qari Yousuf Ahmadi, rang an international news agency to confirm that the Taliban had kidnapped the four men.
Dev Kumar was killed on the spot in the attack in Nimroz province. Four other ITBP personnel and an Afghan policeman were injured in the attack that took place at around 4.30 pm (5.30 pm IST), Afghan Interior Ministry spokesman Zenarai Bashari said.He said the attack took place during the movement of a convoy of Border Roads Organisation personnel, who are engaged in construction of the Zaranj-Delaram highway.The injured have been hospitalised.

The officials said the freed Taliban leaders include Sheikh Abdur Rahim and Mawlawi Abdur Rashid, who had served as the insurgent group's governors of Kunar and Nimroz provinces respectively during the Taliban administration before it was deposed by the US-led forces in 2001.
