The Army, stated that "in view of conflicting messages on social media regarding financial assistance to the Next of Kin of the deceased, it was important to clarify that emoluments due to the Next of Kin were governed by the relevant terms and conditions of service of the soldier".
The incentive-based IHQ status, awarded by Singapore's state investment agency Economic Development Board, would also see Tata Communication increasing its Singapore workforce by 60 per cent to 200 over the next four years.
The reply came in response to an RTI filed by Jammu-based activist Rohit Choudhary about the number of surgical strikes on Pakistan between 2004 and 2014, and after September 2014. He had also sought to know how many of those were successful.
The RTI application with the defence ministry also sought the definition of the term "surgical strikes" in the records of Indian Army.
