Long before former Satyam chairman B Ramalinga Raju admitted to a fraud of gigantic proportions, there was the Indian shipping magnate Dharma Teja who defrauded the Indian government by creating a hollow business empire and living off it. He was jailed for seven years and died soon after his release.
