Bobby Bedi who is currently producing a three-film series on the epic Mahabharat, at an estimated $70 billion budget, has complained to the United States Congress that enforcement authorities have been lax in dealing with peddlers of counterfeit Indian movies.
The new Mahabharata will be produced by Bollywood filmmaker, Bobby Bedi.
In the petition, the Pandeys have strongly objected to the portrayal of the character of the first Indian revolutionary in the film in bad light, especially showing him in relationship with a prostitute.\n
'People are openly making money on piracy and that is siphoned to the underworld and organised crime. We have to tackle this issue seriously,' says Vivek Oberoi.
