Nothing is impossible in the world of football, especially if it concerns, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Is Tottenham Hotspurs' Gareth Bale worth a 100 million Euros?

If reports are to be believed, the English Premier League champions and the La Liga giants have spent the last 12 days trying to negotiate an 80 million pounds package for star player Ronaldo.

And apparently, the Old Trafford management is increasingly confident of getting their man. According to the Daily Star, David Moyes made his move two weeks ago when the club heard through the grapevine that Madrid had stepped up their interest in signing Gareth Bale.

For the first time, United found their Spanish rivals prepared to negotiate after the player told them he would be interested in returning to England, the report said.

New chief executive of Manchester United, Ed Woodward contacted Real president Florentino Perez in the knowledge that Ronaldo had yet to agree an extension to his current deal at the Bernabeu, which has just two years left to run, the report added.
