Goa's football powerhouse Dempo Sports Club unveiled their official ‘home’ and ‘away’ jerseys for the 2013-14 football season in presence of head coach Arthur Papas and club director Shrinivas V Dempo on Saturday.

Addressing the media , Papas said winning will be his main aim along with a positive overall development of players.

“Our philosophy will not change much, but the fact that we will all work together enthusiastically for future glory shall be high on the team agenda. I am positive about good results and it’s been an honour to take up the challenge with Dempo Sports Club,” said the young and enthusiastic Australian coach.

The last eight years have been very exciting for Dempo. They won five I-League titles and made it to the semi-finals of the prestigious AFC Cup.

Welcoming Papas and his technical team, Shrinivas Dempo said, “As the new season unfolds, there will be newer challenges and pressures will greet us; we hope to see the implementation of plans and models to take us to the next level.”

Dempo said Papas is the team’s new hope who aspires to ring in the change with his new and established model in football, which emphasizes on youth promotion and also caters to strengthen key areas like fitness and development where the team probably lacked in the preceding seasons.

“This shall be taken care of by the appointment of their new physical conditioning coach Rafaelle Napoli,” he added.

Dempo’s home jersey will be blue with black and sky-blue sleeves; white with black and grey sleeves will be worn for away matches, while the first training jersey is red and black and second training one is green.
