World No 1 Serena Williams has backed Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki's accusations of ' sexist scheduling' at the Wimbledon Championships and is of the view that a 'huge conversation' needs to take place about the issue at all grand slam tournaments.

Will Maria Sharapova ever beat Serena again?

Wozniacki, who lost her fourth round match 6-4, 6-4 to Spain's Garbine Muguruza, had criticised tournament organizers, saying that women get fewer chances to feature on show courts.

Williams, who booked her place in the semi-finals by beating Victoria Azarenka on Tuesday, said that they were still fighting for it, adding that they have made some progress, and hopefully, more progress will be made to see women featuring frequently on Centre Court.

She further said that the problem was not only limited to Wimbledon, but also they have this problem in other different tournaments as well.

During the first seven days at Wimbledon, only nine out of the 24 matches scheduled on Centre Court were from the women's draw.
