Emil Vartazarian, hero of India's 47-0 rout of Guam in the lung opener in Mumbai earlier this month, converted a penaltyin the second session to restore parity after the visitors were down by a fourth minute penalty scored by Philippines Ron Pena.
India scored the first try of the match in the 23rd minute through Mukarram Faizullabhoy before Vartazarian clinched the match with a drop goal in the 29th.
