Injured Man U star Nani ruled out for three games

Manchester United [ Images ] winger Nani has been ruled out for at least three games after being cut to the bone by Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.

Carragher had caught the Portuguese international with a flying lunge in Liverpool's 3-1 win over United at Anfield.

The cut, pouring blood, saw the player being carried off in tears on a stretcher.

NaniUnited medical staff says that the big problem now with such a deep wound is the possibility of the stitches bursting.

According to the Sun, Nani will miss Saturday's home FA Cup clash with Arsenal [ Images ], the Champions League [ Images ] return against Marseille [ Images ] and a Premier League game against Bolton Wanderers.

The 24-year-old is currently expected to be fit to return against West Ham United on April 2.
