England pace bowler James Anderson took two wickets in 14 deliveries with the second new ball on Friday on the third morning of the first Ashes Test against Australia.
Anderson dismissed Simon Katich lbw for 122 then removed Michael Hussey for three. Left-arm spinner Monty Panesar completed a good morning's work for England by bowling captain Ricky Ponting off the inside edge for 150.
At the lunch interval, Australia were still handily placed at 348 for four in reply to England's 435.
Anderson found some late swing with the new ball, bowling an inswinger which hit Katich on the back foot straight in front of the stumps. Umpire Billy Doctrove upheld the frenzied appeal.
Hussey then played a loose drive which caught the edge and went through at a comfortable height to wicketkeeper Matt Prior.
Australia captain Ricky Ponting, 100 not out at the start of play, unfurled some glorious drives and hooked a no-ball from Andrew Flintoff over a leaping Panesar at fine-leg for six.
But 20 minutes before lunch he gave himself room to drive Panesar off the back foot and dragged the ball on to his stumps to his obvious disgust.
