n a day dominated by news about activist Anna Hazare's fast and the Lokpal Bill debate in Parliament, most Indians may have forgotten to mark the 100th anniversary of our national anthem Jana Gana Mana.

Jana Gana Mana was sung for the first time at a session of the Indian National Congress in Calcutta (now Kolkatta) on December 27, 1911.
