The Bangalore police have released the sketch of a man suspected of carrying out the recent blasts near Chinnaswamy stadium on April 17.

Fourteen people were injured in two blasts near the stadium barely an hour before the IPL match between Mumbai Indians Bangalore Royal Challengers. The police later found two live bombs near the stadium, which were promptly defused.

The suspect is 5.5 feet tall, lean and has a wheatish complexion, said Bangalore Police Commissioner Shankar Bidri.

The sketch of the prime accused was drawn up with help from eye witnesses, he said.

Bidri also gave details about the five persons detained in connection with the blast in Hubli on Tuesday night. The five suspects were suitcase thieves and might have been involved in carrying out the blasts, he said.

The five suspects hailed from Uttar Pradesh and were in Bangalore on the day of the blast, informed Bidri.

A team of the Bangalore police tracked these men to Hubli, and they were arrested from a local lodge, said the police commissioner.

The suspects are being questioned and they were detained as their movements were suspicious, said Bidri.
