Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang hosted a lunch for his visiting Indian counterpart Dr Manmohan Singh immediately after crucial talks between the leaders at the Great Hall of People in Beijing on Wednesday.

Although Dr Singh has a frugal appetite, he is nevertheless known for his love of fish delicacies. Keeping this in mind, the Chinese side served the PM and his entourage with a selection of sea food preparations which began with Hors d'oeuvres, followed by sponge bamboo and mushroom soup, curry-flavoured prawns, beancurd with vegetables, grilled grouper and a dessert selection of sweet potato cream, pastries and fruits.
