Five persons, including four teenagers, were arrested on Friday for allegedly raping a 16-year-old girl for over a month.

According to police, the minor victim told them that she was tortured on at least four occasions, after which, she told it to her family.

The Dadar police station in the suburban Mumbai arrested Mahesh Mane, Hitesh Kalokh and Ashwin Murudkar (all 19-year-old), 18-year-old Pawan Angre and 44-year-old taxi driver Anand Landge on the charges of rape after the victim filed a case against them.

However, another accused Vicky Mohite, who also had allegedly raped the girl once, is absconding and is presently out of Mumbai, sources said.

Senior Inspector of Dadar police station, Ashok Unde said that the girl was raped on several occasions by the accused at different places and was threatened with dire consequences if she revealed it to anyone.

The police said that on May 4, Mahesh asked her to come to his house to cook food, as nobody was present at his house at that time.

After the victim went inside the room Pawan allegedly locked her room and kept a watch while the former raped her.

According to police, the girl was raped for the second time on May 7 at a secluded spot near the Worli Sports Club ground. Unde said that that girl was traumatised and threatened.
