It’s been around a week that the Uttar Pradesh police has been on the hunt for former Bharatiya Janata Party leader Dayashankar Singh, who had passed an abusive statement against Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati.

However, on Tuesday, photographs of the expelled leader surfaced showing him posing happily for a photograph with four others.

The expelled BJP leader can be spotted posing happily for a picture with four others at the backdrop of a Lord Shiva temple in Deogarh in Jharkhand.

Days after he had been promoted to vice president of the BJP in Uttar Pradesh, he had passed the offensive remark against Mayawati, leading to a controversy and a heated debated in Parliament.

Mayawati reacted to the pictures saying, “Dayashankar Singh is in Jharkhand, which is ruled by BJP, clearly means he is being protected.”

She demanded that Singh should be arrested as soon as possible.

She had previously expressed her disappointment with BJP over expelling Singh rather than taking some strict action on him.
