Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader B S Yeddyurappa will lead BJP-JD-S legislators before President Prathiba Patil in New Delhi on Tuesday.

Talking to newspersons in Bangalore on Monday before the departure of the legislators to New Delhi by a chartered flight, Yeddyurappa said all 129 Legislators would be paraded before the President in support of the claim made with Governor Rameshwar Thakur to form the next government.

Stating that during the meeting with the President, Congress' anti-democratic attitude would be exposed, Yeddyurappa also alleged that the Congress was leaving no stone unturned to thwart the installation of a BJP-led coalition government in Karnataka.

He alleged that state Congress leaders and some of the Union ministers were mounting pressure on the Governor to deny the opportunity to form a popular government led by the BJP.

Yeddyurappa, who has been elected as the BJP-JD-S joint legislative party leader, alleged that the Congress tried to split the JD-S and come to power through the backdoor even though it didn't have a mandate.

Stating that developmental projects in the state would be badly affected if the political stalemate continues, Yeddyurappa said the sooner the President's rule ended, the better it would be for the people of the state.

Yeddyurappa added that the legislators will not lodge any complaint against the governor. However, they will demand that the BJP-JD-S coalition government is given the opportunity to form the state government.
