With the Comptroller and Auditor General reports on three critical sectors expected to be tabled in Parliament on Friday, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has indicated that the government will effectively counter any Opposition attack on these issues.

"We will do as well as we can," Dr Singh said when asked how the government planned to counter the onslaught of the Opposition after the CAG reports on coal blocs allocation and Delhi International Airport are tabled in Parliament.

The reports were slated to be tabled today but since both Houses of Parliament were adjourned as mark of respect for late Union Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, these are now expected to be laid on Friday.

"Everybody knows," Singh said when referred to reports that the CAG reports contain indictment of the government.

Sources said the government has worked out a strategy to counter the Opposition attack and the ministers concerned would make statements outside Parliament if they are not allowed to speak inside.
