Slamming the central government for not taking stiff measures against the Pakistani Army for crossing the Line of Control and brutally killing two Indian soldiers, former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhuvan Chand Khanduri has stated that the incident needed to be taken more seriously.

Khanduri, retired Indian Army Major General, told rediff.com, "Such incidents should not be taken lightly. Doing so, the hostile country across the border
will have a tendency to repeat such a ghastly incident. They will then go into denial mode and wash their hands off as it happened during the meeting between Indian foreign secretary and Pakistan high commissioner in India when the latter flatly denied any knowledge about it."

"I wish the government exposes Pakistan's misdeed on the international forum. The flag meeting between two of Director Generals of Military Operation would not be enough. I am not suggesting immediate retaliatory measure. But we must take it up all levels," he added.
