Ex-Miss Venezuela Monica Spear and her former husband Thomas Henry Berry were shot dead by robbers on a roadside near Venezuela’s main port of Puerto Cabello.
The 29-year-old former Miss Venezuela and her 39-year-old British former husband who owns a travel agency were killed in front of their five-year-old daughter who was injured in the attack
According to the director of the country’s investigative police, Jose Gregorio Sierralta, the incident occurred after their car hit a sharp object that had been placed on the highway and had been lifted onto a tow truck.
