A 20-year-old girl, who was gangraped and set afire by a youth in Desarmau illage in Ekdil area, died during treatment at a hospital in Etawah, officials said.
The girl died on Thursday night, they said.
The victim was undergoing treatment at the hospital in Saifai after she was allegedly gangraped and set afire by the youth and his associates on July 11.
According to the FIR lodged by the victim's brother, Farman and his five associates raped the girl and then set her on fire
Infuriated over the incident, the locals had tried to set Farman's house on fire, but the elders in the village intervened and brought the situation under control.
