The bodies of four terrorists, killed in the Pathankot terror attack four months ago, were buried on Wednesday at an undisclosed location in the garrison city.

Official sources said the bodies kept in the mortuary of the Pathankot civil hospital were moved around 2 am by Pathankot police and buried at an unidentified Muslim burial ground in the city.

They said that the place of burial in Pathankot is close to where the bodies of three terrorists involved in last year's attack on the Dinanagar (Gurdaspur) police station were buried.

The bodies were brought at the hospital by the National Investigation Agency and local police on January 6 and since then have been kept in two big deep freezers.

During the visit of the Pakistan Joint Investigation Team to the forward air base on March 29, India had requested it to take the bodies, but the JIT had refused.

The National Investigation Agency had earlier taken vital DNA and other biological samples from the bodies in order to take its probe in the case forward.

The NIA had also published the photographs of these terrorists as it sought information from the public about them and offered Rs 1 lakh cash money to an informant.

These terrorists had breached the security apparatus at the airbase and had entered on the morning of January 1 before launching the attack later that night. They killed seven securitymen before being shot dead after an 80-hour gun fight.
