In yet another incident of horrifying brutality in Bihar, the fingers of two minor girls were chopped off by some men in Bhagalpur district. The culprits wanted to 'punish' the girls, as their goat had strayed into their house.

The two girls, aged 8 and 3 years, were attacked and their fingers were chopped off in Kulkalinia village, which falls under the jurisdiction of the Ghogha police station, police sources  told rediff.com on Saturday.

"Both girls were seriously injured in the incident. They come from extremely poor families," said police sources.

Ironically, the incident took place two days ago but no police complaint has been registered till date.

According to police sources, Bhagalpur's deputy inspector general of police has ordered the local police to register a FIR immediately.
