After becoming the youngest chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, 38-year-old Akhilesh Yadav has yet another first to his credit. He has become the first chief minister to load all details of his assets on the Uttar Pradesh government website.

Unlike his father, who was facing a Central Bureau of Investigation probe into charges of disproportionate assets, Akhilesh has sought to put his record straight by describing himself as a man worth nearly Rs 5 crore.

As per the website, of his total assets valued at Rs 4.83 crore, his movable assets were of the order of Rs 3.84 crore, while the rest were immovable properties.

The value of the properties was given as per the price of acquisition and not the current market value. Apart from investments to the tune of Rs 1.08 crore, he has a bank balance of Rs 1.18 crore.

He has taken loans of about Rs 1.37 crore, which includes one from his wife Dimple, while his other liabilities were of the order of Rs.15.9 lakh.

Akhilesh has 50 per cent share in a property in Lucknow's most posh Vikramaditya Marg. is share is described as worth about Rs 42 lakh, (the price at which it was acquired several years ago) According to estimates, today the entire property which is not less than an acre, would be worth at least Rs10 crore.

Some agricultural land owned by the chief minister at his ancestral place Saifai in Etawah district has been shown to be worth just about Rs 17 lakh. In addition, he has also declared ownership of a flat in Etawah's Friend's Colony, valued at just Rs 2.11 lakh.

Likewise, yet another commercial property owned by the new chief minister  on the state capital's prime Mahatma Gandhi Marg , was valued at Rs 37 lakh . An impressive building spread over a 25,000 sq ft plot is currently let out to the Royal Bank of Scotland.

Akhilesh also owns one vehicle -- A Mitsubishi Pajero -- worth about Rs 20 lakh.
