Sister Sephy, the nun accused in the Sister Abhaya murder case, plans to move the Supreme Court against the virginity test done on her and the 'vulgar' language allegedly used by the Central Bureau of Investigation in its chargesheet against her, according to Church sources.

Aji Koyikkal, legal advisor to the Knanaya Catholic Church in Kottayam, told PTI that the virginity test conducted on the nun, as claimed by CBI, amounted to violation of the fundamental rights of a woman.

"Our contention is that the virginity test report itself is concocted," he said.

Some pro-Left women's organisations have also come out strongly against the 'obscene and unscientific' language used in the chargesheet 'that questioned the dignity of a woman'.

According to All India Democratic Women's Association (AIDWA) sources, CPI-M Politburo member Brinda Karat had already written to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, expressing shock and outrage at the language of the chargesheet and comments made in it, as reported in a section of the media.

Brinda Karat, in her letter, had said if the reports were true, it was an affront to the dignity of a women, and asked the Prime Minister to intervene into the matter.
