Actor Aamir Khan created a flutter in the Parliament complex when he alighted from Sachin Pilot's car at gate number 4 and rushed towards Prime Minister's office around 1230 hrs on Wednesday afternoon.

Media persons followed him right to the gate of a conference hall where he was promptly ushered in by the officers attached to the prime minister's security.

"This is my first visit to the Parliament house and Sachinji was giving me description of various important places in this beautiful complex. I am here because I had come to attend a meeting of a group launched by civil society comprising of members of Parliament had come to me sometime ago, to solicit my involvement. The group is called Alliance of Citizens fighting Malnutrition. MPs, NGOs and some journalists have become
our members," Aamir Khan told journalists after his visit.

Khan sought media support for this wonderful cause and invited the journalists to join the venture.

"I met Prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh who has a better understanding of this important issue. Malnurition can stop both the physical and mental growth of a child. The children of today would lead the country tomorrow and hence it is important that the children get proper attention and grow healthy. I am glad to be a part of this campaign", the actor said.

Lyricist Prasoon Joshi said he was toying with the idea of writing a song to spread the message across the country.

Besides meeting Dr Singh, Khan met Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar in her chamber along with all the MPs who were part of the group.
