Six persons, including five civilians and a Border Security Force (BSF) trooper, were injured in a militant grenade attack in the main Chowk at Bandipore on Friday afternoon.

The police said militants hurled a grenade at a passing paramilitary BSF vehicle, which missed the target and exploded on the road, injuring five civilian passers-by and a trooper.

The injured were removed to a hospital at Bandipore, where doctors said one injured person had reported with serious injuries. No group has yet owned the responsibility for the attack. No one was detained.
