PM Manmohan Singh to campaign in Bihar

Prime Minister Manmohan Singhwill address joint election meetings with Railway Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and his wife former chief minister Rabri Devion Tuesday in the run up to the third phase of Bihar assembly polls.

State Congress spokesperson Kripanath Pathaksaid Dr Singh will address two election meetings at Saharsa and Sitamarhi andreturnto New Delhi by Tuesday afternoon.

Thiswill beDr Singh's first election campaignin Bihar.

The RJD-led Secular Democratic Front is upbeat that Manmohan Singh campaigning along with Lalu and Rabri will improve the front's prospectsa few days beforethe third phase of assembly polls in 57 of 243assembly constituencies scheduled for November 13.

Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh and Bihar Congresspresident Sadanand Singh will also attendboththe meetings.

Congress president and United Progressive Alliancechairperson Sonia Gandhi will address four election meetings at Araria, Benipatti, Chanpatia and Chapra on November 10.
