Advani's Pak visit a success: BJP

June 09, 2005 10:18 IST

The Bharatiya Janata Party on Thursday morning reworked the resolution it passed on Wednesday requesting Lal Kishenchand Advani to take back his resignation as party president.

Television reports said that there would be two new points added to the resolution.

The first one would, reports said, endorse Advani's Pakistan visit as a political and diplomatic success.

The resolution would also say that Advani's comments on Jinnah should be seen in its entire context.

The BJP Parliamentary Board is likely to pass this resolution on Thursday evening.
