Bofors: Clean chit for Rajiv Gandhi February 04, 2004 15:16 IST The Delhi high court on Wednesday gave a clean chit to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi in the Rs 64-crore Bofors pay-off case.
The judge also quashed charges under the Prevention of Corruption Act against Hinduja brothers -- Shrichand, Gopichand and Prakashchand -- in the case. The brothers will continue to be tried for other charges -- conspiracy and cheating -- brought against them. The case will now, however, will be heard by a metropolitan magistrate.
