Turmoil continues in LS over Babri case

July 22, 2003 13:45 IST

The Lok Sabha on Tuesday plunged into turmoil for the second consecutive day over the dropping of the conspiracy charge against Deputy Prime Minister Lal Kishenchand Advani and seven others in the Babri Masjid demolition case, forcing adjournment of the House for 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, an opposition sponsored motion for discussion on the dropping of conspiracy charges by the Central Bureau of Investigation was rejected in the Rajya Sabha by Chairman Bhairon Singh Shekhawat after an hour-long argument on its admissibility.
