Aadaminte Makan Abu
Director: Salim Ahmed

It came as a surprise when a little known film called Aadaminte Makan Abu won several awards at the national and state levels. According to director Salim Ahmed the film is about an old Muslim couple who want to go for Haj. "They are in search of the money required for the trip and are even ready to die there."
According to actor Salim Kumar, who is mostly seen in comic roles, winning the national and the state awards for best actor was "truly overwhelming". He believes that his achievement could inspire other actors to do their best and aim for the ultimate.
"It was a genuine script and the character was well written. I had great hopes about the film soon after I read the script and it has been very well taken," says the actor, who is distributing the film himself.
Adaminte Makan Abu has been produced by Salim Ahmed and Ashraf Bedi. The cinematographer is Madhu Ambat and the music is by Isaac Thomas Kottukappilly and Ramesh Narayan.
