Priyanka: I didn't approach Agneepath as a remake

Priyanka Chopra has worked really hard for Karan Johar's Agneepath, which included a two-week night shift, juggling between her shoot and other commitments.

The actress had to shoot on the streets of the studio set basti, which she found quite strenuous.

"Who said it could ever be easy?" laughs Priyanka. "It was a challenging role. I play a prostitute's daughter, not a prostitute. The love track from the original film (between Amitabh Bachchan and Madhavi) has been changed."

'Who am I to comment on someone as great as Mr Bachchan?'

Incidentally, Priyanka had no knowledge of the original film when she started shooting for the film.

"I saw the original Agneepath for the first time some weeks after we started shooting. What did I think of the film and Mr (Amitabh) Bachchan's performance? Who am I to comment on someone as great as Mr Bachchan? I didn't approach Agneepath as a remake. To me, every film is a new experience regardless of the references."

'You will never see me neglect my looks again'

Meanwhile, she has Hrithik Roshan for company once again in Krrish 3.

"Though I am playing the same part as the original, I see the role as a new one and not one in continuation," she says.

Priyanka promises she will not be criticised for her looks and makeup in the Krrish sequel. "I haven't forgotten how seriously I was pulled up in Krrish. In my defense, I was going through a very rough patch in my life when I did Krrish. That, of course, is no excuse. But you will never see me neglect my looks again," she says.
