PIX: Irrfan, Tabu at Life Of Pi premiere

The premiere of Ang Lee's Life Of Pi was held at PVR in Juhu, a western Mumbai suburb, on the evening of November 21.

Irrfan Khan, who plays the older Pi in the film, arrived for the event with screenwriter wife Sutapa Sikdar Khan and son Ayan.

Ayan makes a brief appearance in the film as Pi's older brother.

Anil Kapoor was present at the screening to lend support to his Slumdog Millionaire costar Irrfan.

Apart from Slumdog, Kapoor has been a part of two other Hollywood projects -- Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and American TV series 24.

Tabu, who's part of the Life Of Pi star cast, arrived in a magnificent anarkali. She plays Pi's mother in the film.

Tabu has previously worked with Irrfan Khan in Mira Nair's The Namesake (film adaptation of Jhumpa Lahiri's novel of the same name) and Vishal Bhardwaj's critically acclaimed Maqbool.

Veteran actresses Hema Malini and Waheeda Rahman stop to pose for pictures as they make their way to the premiere.

Actresses Minissha Lamba and Amrita Rao were dressed in black outfits for the occasion.

While Amrita appeared more dressed up, Minissha went for a casual look.

English Vinglish director Gauri Shinde arrived with her filmmaker husband R Balki.

Filmmaker couple Deepa Sahi and Ketan Mehta make their way to the screening.

Ek Tha Tiger director Kabir Khan arrived with TV anchor wife Mini Mathur.

Veteran actor couple Naseeruddin and Ratna Pathak Shah smile for the cameras.

Directors Abhinav Kashyap and Homi Adajania, who arrived solo for the do, were both dressed in blue and white.

Funnyman Saurabh Shukla was in his element as he was clicked at the do.

Filmmaker Kunal Kohli was spotted at the premiere too.

Maria Goretti arrived solo for the premiere.
