"Rajinikanth is the original and the biggest superstar. I don’t think anyone is bigger than him. I am a huge fan of him. If I get an opportunity to work with him, I will," Kajol said at the event.
Veteran actor Anupam Kher, who worked with Rajinikanth in films like Chaalbaaz and Hum, said, “Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan have been my role models. Rajini sir is like a Tsunami. His films are huge. He is popular not only in India but across the world. People around the world wait for his films to release. I would like to give him my best wishes and hope that he continues to do such exciting work for many more years to come."
Kher went on to recount an incident from the sets of Chaalbaaz.
“We were shooting for Chaalbaaz in Chennai and I got injured when a broken glass piece pierced my leg. Rajini took me to the hospital in his white Fiat car. As we were coming out of the AVM studio, there was a lot of traffic. He just stepped out the car and I don’t know what happened -- the entire traffic cleared. I think that is the magic of Rajinikanth,” he said.
