With year 2011 proving good for Bollywood, stars are positively energized for 2012. Here's how they welcomed the New Year:

Shah Rukh Khan welcomed the New Year with his family. 'A different bringing in the new year..near midnite soccer with my daughter...she is leading 2 to 1. Lemme show her the stuff I am made up of,' he updated.

He aslo tweeted a picture (left) and wrote: 'Wot more could one ask for...??? Blissfully happy and lazy.... Have hurt ribs. Holiday soccer career nipped in the bud...bah!! Now to indulge in reading & videogames. Hurts only when I laugh or breathe,'

Priyanka Chopra learnt a big lesson last year. 'Hello world!New year!New beginnings..that's what my year is gonna be..washed off of all things bad..starting a new slate..bring it on 2012! Big lesson learnt last year!all we can do is give it the best we have,and enjoy the ride..waqt se pehle Aur kismat se zyaada kuch nahi Milta,' she tweeted.

Karan Johar wished everyone. 'To all of you in the twitterverse...the intense lovers...the lonely haters...the critical gang and the praise pack!!! A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!' he wrote.

A R Rahman tweeted: 'To all the lovely people out there... Have a blessed, enlightening, elevating and peaceful 2012 :-)'

Madhur Bhandarkar is confident that 2012 would be even better. 'As 2011 comes 2 an end, I bow down 2 the great year for Indian Cinema & look 4ward 2 hopefully an even better 2012 for the industry!!!' he updated.

Amitabh Bachchan fasted on the first day of the year. 'HAPPY NEW YEAR !! GOOD HEALTH, PROSPERITY, HAPPINESS & FULFILLMENT.. 2012 we welcome you into our homes and lives with hope and love. A fast a prayer and peace and accomplishment ... rare but doable with success .. what a way to start the first day of 2012 .. !!' he updated.

Bipasha Basu tweeted: 'Resolution: I live and I love! Get hit, I fall but I rise everytime Stronger! Never lose the spirit of life and love! 2012 is here :)'

Celina Jaitly wrote: 'My new year resolution is to Claim all my pets as dependents on my taxes (including the neighbours annoying cat)'

Tisca Chopra has an easy resolution. 'Only one resolution for the coming year- live with love for each moment! Cherish my life & of everyone around me..' she updated.

Neil Nitin Mukesh doesn't believe in resolutions. 'I don't believe in resolutions. But I have decided to leave the ?s Of my life which are not answered and move on. And learn to be happy :)' he tweeted.

Punit Malhotra hopes to learn anger management. 'My new year resolution - no getting angry, not losing my cool, no using abusive language and being sweet and calm. To kill with kindness,' he wrote.

Sneha Ullal tweeted: 'My resolution. Master Yoga-kick boxing and Drag racing'

Uday Chopra has decided to keep no resolutions. 'I have eaten myself to oblivion...this whole calorie thing sucks!!! I thought I was invincible but alas I have succumbed to the fat!!!  I think of "tomorrow" as Schrodinger's cat, it exists and yet it doesn't both at the same time. So ya bottom line, No New Years Resolutions,' he wrote.

Celebrity photographer Atul Kasbekar's resolution is to get Vidya Balan on Twitter. 'And a very happy birthday to the fabulous vidya balan; my new year resolution is to get her on twitter...!' he tweeted.

On New Year's Eve, Dubai was the festive destination for Bollywood as stars like Salman Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan and Arjun Rampal partied in UAE.

Arjun Rampal tweeted: 'Last day of the year,feeling blessed to end a beautiful year with beautiful friends and family. @iamsrk @iHrithik @sussannekroshan Gauri, @ritesh_sid Chunkey @sunnydewan all the kids in wonderful dubai staring at the burj khaleefa from my apartment spectacular view.'
 
Pooja Bedi, who was also in Dubai, pointed out: 'Dubai seems to be celeb destination over new years! @iamsrk salman khan pamela anderson and many others in town!!'

Madhuri Dixit was back in town for New Year. 'Back in Mumbai to see in the new year! Had a great time in the Maldives. Always good to be home,' she tweeted.

Once again, fans gathered outside Amitabh Bachchan's residence on Sunday for a glimpse of the superstar, and he did not disappoint them. 'Sunday with the fans,' he wrote with the picture (left).

Bipasha Basu shared a picture of Sonam Kapoor and her as she tweeted: 'On the promotional tour of #Players me n @sonamakapoor hd an awesome time together!' 

Sonam Kapoor, on the other hand, shared a picture from her New Year Eve's party.
