Musical couple Sunali and Roop Kumar Rathod wish rediff readers a Happy Valentine's Day!
Sharing her V-Day plans with us, Sunali says, "Generally we are away from the hustle bustle of Mumbai.
"Our daughter has been a part of our Valentine’s Day even since she was born. We eat a lot, drink, and chill out. We are travelling this time, but for a change the entire family will be joining us”.
Sunali, whose birthday is on February 17, says, “my birthday falls three days after Valentine’s Day so it’s a double celebration and double gifts for me. So I love Valentine’s Day (laughs)”.
Of course, gifting used to happen years back, Roop Kumar interrupts. “Now she buys something for herself and says this is from you, okay?”
He adds, “365 days is Valentine’s Day for us. There is no special day to express your love; it’s part of our lives.
“We are more like friends. When your girlfriend becomes your wife the whole scenario changes so it’s better to keep her as a friend (smiles).
Sunali has a message for Rediff readers, “Even if you are husband and wife, please try and remain friends, and not be like a typical married couple where the wife is expected to put everything in place after the husband goes to work.”
On a lighter note, Roop Kumar says, “You have to just sign all the cheques and you’ll be happy forever."
