Manju Warrier to play a volleyball coach

Manju Warrier will play a volleyball coach in Deepu Karunakaran's forthcoming film Karinkunnam Sixes.

Like Shah Rukh Khan's character in Chak De! India, her character will fight against all odds to coach a team, comprising of jail inmates.

Posting the film's trailer on her Facebook page, Manju says that Karinkunnam Sixes has been thrilling from start to finish.

Fahadh Fazil to team up with Thani Oruvan director

 

Fahadh Fazil is all set to work in Thani Oruvan director Mohan Raja's Tamil film with Sivakarthikeyan and Nayantara.

He is also teaming up next with North 24 Kaatham director Anil Radhakrishnan Menon for another project.

In fact, it was the director who announced the news on Facebook with the lines, 'Next with my Brathaa...lets Rock'n'Rollaa....' with their picture together.

Meanwhile, there are rumours that Fahadh's Anwar Rasheed has been shelved.

Mammootty as Thoppil Joppan

In Johny Antony's Thoppil Joppan, Mammootty plays an Idukki-based planter, who spends most of his time on alcohol and kabaddi.

The shooting of the film is currently underway. The crew has shot the superstar's scenes where he is part of a kabaddi match for his team called 'Cheers', along with Sohan Seenulal, Alancier, Sreejith Ravi and Saju Navodaya.

Andrea Jeremiah and Mamta Mohandas play the heroines.

Johny Antony has earlier directed Mammootty in films like Thuruppu Gulaan, Ee Pattanathil Bhootham and Thappaana.

Ordinary and Madhuranaranga writer Nishad Koya is the scenarist of the film.
