Travelling abroad? Now, the 'Mumbai T2 App' will assist you

The GVK-run Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (CSIA) has launched India’s first ever indoor navigation app with Augmented Reality feature for the convenience of passengers traveling through Terminal 2.

The T2 App will assist the passengers with the interactive walk-through experience where passengers can download this app from any location and still enjoy the complete access of the airport within their comfort zone.

The app plays a complete navigation guide with user-friendly technology, helping passengers locate anything at the airport with a single click process.

Passengers travelling from any airlines just need to select the flight to get constant information through push notification system and your travel expert, “Mumbai T2 App” will assist you for a hassle-free travel experience.

The app works on an innovative platform developed on the combination of Indoor Atlas and iBeacon technologies that creates magnetically modelled maps and provides location-based information using their 3G connections or the free Wi-Fi services available at the airport.

iBeacon is the state-of-the-art technology introduced for the first time in an Indian airport, thus empowering the passengers to a delightful experience of unwinding themselves during their GVK CSIA launches India’s first indoor navigation ‘Mumbai T2 App’ for passengers.

Rajeev Jain, CEO, Mumbai International Airport Limited said, “We provide world-class facilities at T2 and always strive to make it as easy as possible for passengers to discover them."

"Mumbai T2 app will allow the passengers to design their own customised experiential tour from their mobile phone.

Moreover, we being a ‘silent’ terminal, cutting down on public announcements, the app will be a very handy tool for passengers to keep track of their flight schedule through constant notifications.”

The app, named ‘Mumbai T2’ after the iconic T2 terminal, is compatible with Apple and Android phones and tablets and can be downloaded for free from iOS App Store and Google Play Store.
