During the weekly chat with market expert Pranav Sanghavi, readers mostly enquired about viable stocks in a choppy market.

Apart from advising them to think long term and to be patient, Sanghavi told them to invest in frontline IT stocks like TCS and Infosys. Here is the transcript:

PRANAV SANGHAVI says,
Hello everyone once again. I am here. Lets begin the chat.

Bullish asked, wots ur call on Tata Steel....which lavels to buy?

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers,
Steel as a commodity has witnessed a lot of news based action. I feel the demand for steel will not subside in the future but the prices have been fluctuating so the TISCO stock price will depend on the steel price movments amongst other factors.

djdeepakjain asked, Hello Pranav, What is your opinion on Yes Bank?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Yes Beank is fairly young in the banking arena. I would rather go with a more frontline bank with pedigree.

diwadkar asked, It is worth bying Ashok Layland and RPL at current rate
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, All the auto stocks have tumbled in the past few sessions. But Ashok Leyland on a longer term should perform well. RPL has to be a very long term investment with a five year outlook.

AbhisekDaga asked, hi my first question is when can we expect ranbaxy to go between 450-500 another one is when can we expect RPL to reach atleast 70

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers,
Ranbaxy has various factors affecting its price. The family feud, it's patent infringement cases overseas. So I wouldn't be able to predict an rise in its price. But keep watching the news. RPL's commercial production should start around 2010. Considering this, when some serious delivery based buying is seen in the scrip it should cross the Rs. 70 levels.

Awadhesh asked, can you suggest what to do with deccan aviation shares? what is the future?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, It is an aviation stock and I would be carefull to go long in the stock.

Awadhesh asked, should I buy infosys shares for long term?
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, Yes.

srinivasm asked, Sir I bought Nicholas Piramal at 270. what is the future, Shud i hold or switch? please suggest
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I think it is a good hold for the future.

bhaven asked, what is the future of larsen & tourbo
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, It is an extremely strong company fundamentally. They have also just announced a bonus issue. They have order book positions for over two to three years. Their growth is imminent. It has a very small equity base and huge net profits an reserves in comparision.

Ind asked, Hi Pranav, pls tell me if I can buy Reliance Infocomm shares now
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, You cannot directly buy Rel Info directly right now. But you could buy Rel Comm Ven instead which will be converted to Rel Info subsequently. Rel Info is also plannign a mega IPO sometime next year. So I would recommend to hold.

srinivasm asked, Recomendation on HDFC Pleae... Buy/Hold/Sell
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, HDFC could be held on.

bhaven asked, when is the book closure 0f larsen & toubro
PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I don't think it has been announced as yet for the bonus.

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, I would recommend switching to a frontline tech stock.

PCS asked, hi pranav Will unitech and idbi shares ever go up

PRANAV SANGHAVI answers, It will depend on what percent of the capital are the buying back.

aka asked, hi sir what is out look for reliance capital
