Anil Ambani Group's Reliance Money today signed an agreement with Tata group's IT arm CMC Ltd for setting up financial retail kiosks, besides training students of the software solutions provider in finance.

As part of the agreement, Reliance Money would install its web-enabled retail kiosk at about 250 CMC franchisee outlets across the country, its CEO Sudip Bandyopadhyay told reporters in Chennai on Thursday.

CMC, whose solutions span stock exchanges as well as depositories, would facilitate the customer acquisition process of Reliance Money and act as a partner for both the Trading and Financial Distribution services, he said.

Saibal Ghosh, vice president, CMC Ltd said that CMC franchisee centres would assist Reliance Money in sourcing customers. Also, CMC along with Reliance Money would be launching a six-month job oriented programme in finance, which would create a readymade talent pool for the Anil Ambani group company, he said.

CMC is majority owned by Tata Consultancy Service, the country's largest software services exporter. Bandyopadhyay said that CMC would look to leverage the increased walk-ins into its outlets, while Reliance Money would strengthen its distribution reach.

He said Reliance would be opening 10,000 such outlets across the country by the end of the financial year.
