NTPC bids for Saudi project

National Thermal Power Corporation, India's largest power producer, is bidding for consultancy and operation and maintenance projects in countries like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Oman.

"We have bid for an O&M project for Arabian Bemco Contracting Company and for a consultancy project for Saudi Electric Company. However, we are not looking at power plants abroad, unless it is part of a government-to-government deal requiring cross business transactions," said an executive.
