Nipuna Services, the business process outsourcing arm of Satyam, is eyeing an overseas delivery centre by the next year.

Venkatesh Roddam, chief executive officer, Nipuna Services, said the objective behind setting up an overseas delivery centre was language-driven and the company was considering the Far East and continental Europe.

A decision was expected over the next 24 months.

Growth in terms of delivery centres would also happen in the domestic market. Over the next two years, Nipuna would add two more centres, out of which one could well be Kolkata and the other Pune.

Roddam said the company has adopted a client driven location strategy for most of its delivery centres. He added that two of the company's clients have expressed interest in Kolkata.

At present, Nipuna has delivery centres in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and a sales presence in the US and UK.

Nipuna Services is expecting a 80 per cent growth in revenues this year. Roddam said last year the company saw a 100 per cent growth. As on March 31, 2006, the company's turnover was $20 million.

Roddam is expecting consolidation in the BPO space. He said ultimately there would be 30-35 players in the industry and the smaller ones would be consumed.

When asked whether Nipuna was eyeing acquisitions, he said, the company would examine opportunities, if it came by, in the knowledge process outsourcing and animation verticals.
