McDonald's, official restaurant sponsor for the FIFA World Cup 2006, will kick start its in-store football promotion for kids -- Foosball Freekick -- from June 6. From that date, all McDonald's outlets will have a fun indoor table football game, where kids get to take penalty shots against a goalkeeper and win prizes.

All a kid needs to do to participate is purchase a Snoopy Football Happy Meal that automatically entitles them to a selection of Snoopy Football interactive toys, a Perk XL chocolate bar along with a free entry coupon to the game.

The coupon holders will be allowed to take three penalty shots in the game which can win them chocolates from Cadbury's. What's more, whether they shoot one or none at all, they still win the chocolates, just for attempting the penalty shots.

Commenting on the promotion, Amit Jatia, MD & joint venture partner, McDonald's India, Western & Southern Region, said, "As the official restaurant sponsor, we wanted to create the spirit and football fever at our restaurants across the country to bring kids and young adults closer to the excitement of the FIFA World Cup 2006".

McDonald's will also introduce World Cup Meals, supported by a digital platform wherein customers will get coupons to download free football mobile games, football ring tones and wallpapers created by McDonald's to cater to their young adult customers.

Customers can enjoy fantasy football on the Internet through McDonald's official FIFA world cup game site: www.fifaworldcup.com/fantasy
