Hewlett Packard on Tuesday said changes in the top management of the company would not have any impact on its India strategy.

"Our strategy for India will continue to be the same," Ravi Swaminathan, vice president, Personal Systems Group, HP India said after unveiling the company's latest range of notebooks.

HP's global chief executive officer Carly Fiorina was forced to resign by the company's board recently as the high-profile acquisition of Compaq failed to produce intended results.

In India, however, HP has grown better than the market. "Last year the market for notebook computers doubled but we tripled our revenues," Swaminathan said.

"Our strategy will be to maintain this growth," he added. The four notebooks that the company launched in India offer advanced security features.

They offer consumers an option to choose from range of software and hardware features to tailor security levels as per their business needs.

The notebooks also have HP Mobile Data Protection System, which helps reduce the risk of data corruption by up to 50 per cent by protecting hard drive from the shock and vibration experienced through regular use, he added.

The notebooks have been priced from Rs 49,990 onwards. In future, all the company's notebook offerings will have the security options, Swaminathan said.
