Several corporate houses have joined the Goa government in making the 35th International Film Festival of India a big success.

While Taj group of hotels, as an official hospitality partner is offering guests the best of Indian hospitality, Champagne Indage is adding colour to the event as a bubbly supplier.

"By serving champagne at the festival, we are not only selling our product through a unique outlet, we are also breaking the perception that champagne is an expensive drink by serving it along with a sandwich or a samosa," says Santosh Verma, head, business development, Champagne Indage.

"We have managed to get many sponsors this year, which has reduced our cost by a considerable level. We are confident that if we are able to make this year's film festival a success, then next year we can have a festival without the Centre's funds," Goa chief minister Manohar Parrikar said.

Other big names such as Hyundai, Idea Cellular, Pepsi and State Bank of India have also joined the team of sponsors, especially in view of the venue - a place offering fun and frolic in abundance, say IFFI organisers.
