Pizza chain Domino's Pizza plans to add 31 more outlets across India by 2006 taking the total number to 133 with an investment of Rs 17 crore (Rs 170 million) in the stores.

"We are opening six outlets by December this year and plan to open 25 more next year," Domino's Pizza India's CEO Ajay Kaul said.

Domino's has 102 outlets across the country at present.  "We are growing faster than the market. Our market share today is 40 per cent and in the delivery market we have a share of 60 per cent," he said adding that the chain was doing very good in terms of profitability and growth.

In Kolkata, the MNC would open three more outlets in the next six months. It currently has six outlets in the metro.

The company would invest another Rs 8 crore (Rs 80 million) in relocating its factories in Delhi and Bangalore to meet the requirement to deliver the raw material for their products in the new set of outlets.

It would also set up a satellite commissaries factory in small cities starting with Chandigarh with an investment of around Rs 50 lakh.

Kaul said Domino's is also considering getting into the production of raw materials like tomatoes for its sauce and other preparations.

"I can't rule it out. But at the moment, there are no such plans. It might happen after a year or so one," he said.

On the product range Kaul said Domino's which has introduced the cheese burger pizza recently, would continue with its innovative products and would offer more localised recipes. At present 35 per cent of its product have Indianised recipes.
