Roger D Calmeyer has been appointed managing director of Colgate Palmolive India for a five-year period. He will resume office from June 1.
The board of the company passed a resolution today to this effect, which is subject to approval from the government and shareholders.
This announcement comes after Graeme Dalziel resigned as managing director, effective May 31, 2006 following his appointment as general manager and vice-president, Colgate Palmolive, France.
Calmeyer is at present, president and managing director, Colgate Palmolive, Romania.
Dalziel has been with Colgate for over 30 years, beginning with Colgate UK in 1972 followed by postings in Zamibia and South Africa. Prior to being vice-president south Asia and managing director, Colgate Palmolive India in 2002.
