Gail India Ltd said on Thursday its chairman and managing director has been selected as fellow of the World Academy of Productivity Science.
The company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Thursday that its CMD Proshanto Banerjee would be formally inducted into the academy on October 9, at the 14th World Productivity Congress to be held in Shenyang, China.
The Canada-based World Academy of Productivity Science acts as a trans-national forum for discussions on policy and infrastructure development and also contributes significantly to the development of productivity science.
The shares of the company closed at Rs 254.25, down 1.95 per cent at the BSE.
