Vidya Chhabria, Manu Chhabria's widow, on Thursday, hit back at her mother-in-law, Rani Chhabria, who had filed a legal notice saying her son's will had been fabricated.
A statement issued by the Chhabria estate today said, "All such manipulations and illegitimate" claims would be dealt with severely.
The estate has termed the allegations made by Rani Chhabria, in a legal notice to Vidya Chhabria and her two daughters, as baseless, unfounded and factually incorrect.
Rani Chhabria, the statement said, had attempted to serve similar notices to Chhabria estate earlier, but since the death of Manu Chhabria some four years back, no suit or proceedings had been instituted against the estate or Jumbo Group of Rani Chhabria.
According to the legal counsel to the estate, any attempt to stake an illegitimate claim to the estate will be appropriately dealt with, in the same manner in which Jumbo Group dealt with similar situations on earlier occasions.
The estate had been administered under the authority of probates from several jurisdictions and the allegations made were inconceivable, the legal counsel added.
