Aspire Systems, an outsourced product development company will hire 340 software engineers to take its staff strength to 500 by March 2006, a top company official said in Chennai.
This was in line with the company's expansion plans to achieve a leadership position in the OPD space in the coming months, Aspire CEO Gowri Subramanian said.
Aspire Systems, which employs 160 people at its Chennai facility, would increase the headcount to 500 by March 2006, he said adding the company was expected to end this fiscal with a revenue of Rs 14 crore (Rs 140 million).
"By March 2006, the revenues are expected to touch Rs 35 crore (Rs 350 million)," Subramanian said.
"Our objective is to become the acknowledged leader in OPD space," he said.
Aspire Systems, which has bought four acres of land at Siruseri IT Park near Chennai is setting up a 1.2 lakh sq. ft facility for its new software development centre.
The first phase of the facility will be completed by April-May 2005, while the second phase will be over by March 2006.
The firm has over 20 clients in the US for various software products.
